- 4 / 5By Steve ChaI went here for the 2nd time last week. The sushi is pretty top notch. I can call it the 2nd best sushi restaurant in Calabasas (the first being SHIBUYA). Overall, their fish is fresh and they have a huge variety of fishes that are not served in typical sushi bars, which is a big plus. I got to try most of them during my omakase meal. For the most part, they were all delicious, rich tasting, and had great texture. Even their banana eggroll dessert was pretty good too.
In conclusion, I recommend this place highly. I didn't give it a 5 star due to a subtle taste difference that I felt this place lacked just a tad bit in comparison to restaurants like SUSHI GEN, SHIBUYA, or YOTSUYA. But Hanami is still definitely worth driving 20 minutes out of your way to try at least once. Their fish selection menu is extensive, amazing, and the place is Japanese owned.January 09, 2017
